Senior researcher at Géodata Paris, with the aim of ensuring that our understanding of the environment is based on appropriate geographic data through the use of geographic data infrastructures, open ontologies, metadata ecosystems and educational maps.
Member of the Executive Committee of EuroSDR (European Spatial Data Research), a non-profit organisation founded in 1953 to promote cooperation between European countries on issues relating to the provision and use of geographic data, within which IGN France shares various research and innovation efforts and maintains close links with other national mapping agencies, land registries, academic institutions and industries.
Co-director of the Master’s 2 programme in Information Systems Technologies at Géodata Paris, alongside programme director Victor Coindet.

Experience : From February 2010 to June 2018, I headed a research laboratory (approximately 100 staff) comprising four teams covering the broad spectrum of geographic information sciences: geodesy and gravimetry (LAREG), sensors and embedded code (LOEMI), photogrammetry and image processing (MATIS), and structured geographic information systems (COGIT). From 2010 to 2014, I was elected to the executive committee of the Association for Geographic Information Laboratories, AGILE (https://agile-online.org/).
Education : Engineer from the École Polytechnique (1995), Geographer from the École Nationale des Sciences Géographiques (1997). Master’s degree in Mathematics and its Applications to the Humanities. PhD on application of knowledge representation techniques to spatial data infrastructures at the University of Paris 6, Habilitation to supervise research obtained from the University of Paris Est Marne-la-Vallée.
