Current Work

Dissertation project centered on a continuous immersive visualization and navigation through time and space of historical image collections.

A co-visualization of the historical photos within a 3D model of the photographed scene is proposed and the research aims for: (i) the visualization (saliently and spatially) of these photographs; (ii) the treatment of scientific obstacles (large data volume, heterogeneity between images, distortions, and data uncertainties) that appear when old pictures are placed in a contemporary 3D environment.

HISTOVIS is the existing demo page for this work.
